Resolution

Send this to your legislators to support Christian, Moral and accurate Education in our Schools

WHEREAS, the State of Missouri, the residents of its cities, towns, and communities, have a shared interest in improving the Patriotism, and true Christian American Heritage in our children’s education.

WHEREAS, our Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Higher Education, Textbook Publishers, and Elected Officials, have a responsibility to parents to advance this purpose of developing Patriotism fully and that comes from accurately teaching America’s Godly Heritage and the Christian Character of the Patriots.

WHEREAS, the quality of life in Missouri and the Nation depend on the people having a reliable supply of the truth from primary source evidence that clearly and frequently demonstrate the Christian influence in historical figures, documents, and events.

WHEREAS, the preservation of liberties in Missouri and the Nation, depend on a people that are Patriotic to our country.

WHEREAS, an opportunity exists for Missouri to objectively search primary source evidence with Christian influence and or Biblical influence to show the wealth and truth of our positive Christian Heritage and to come up with a strategy that establishes timeframes to make sure that the curriculum addresses these areas appropriately.

WHEREAS, an opportunity exists for Missouri to establish a greater Patriotism in the children of the residents of its cities, town, and communities, by honoring our nation and the blood stained sacrifices of the men and women that have made this country free, and to remind ourselves of the redundant part of the Heritage that came about because of Patriotism.

WHEREAS, we have a flag that represents our Declaration of Independence, to mean the liberty and justice and happiness that our Constitution formed, and all these things coming about by the blood stained sacrifice of many men and women that gave their lives to maintain it for their posterity

WHEREAS, allow for a reduction of the potentially harmful negative impact of teaching less than the truth and not teaching Patriotism or the consequences of sovereignty, influence, indifference, cynicism, etc. will prevail.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the members of both houses of the 93rd General Assembly 2nd Regular Session, urge both houses of the Missouri legislature to adopt a joint resolution forthwith to see that true positive Christian Heritage and Patriotism are taught and articulated in the textbooks and curriculum, and that it is recommended that a team be created to oversee DESE, Higher Education, and the Textbook providers to see that these curriculum changes take place in all levels of education in Missouri

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all schools in the State of Missouri will start each day in the elementary, middle, and high school with a Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, that gives an oath to their country under God and honors those whose courage, sacrifice, etc. have made our country free.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all schools in the State of Missouri will have textbooks and teachers teaching the truth about our Founding Fathers and Patriotism in America in the elementary, middle, high school and colleges helping to prepare our children to be better citizens.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all schools in the State of Missouri will have textbooks and teachers teaching true Christian Heritage in the elementary, middle, high school and colleges to help our children be better informed and better citizens.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that to the maximum extent possible, enforcement of such a program should be delegated to the people of the State of Missouri.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Missouri Joint General Assembly be instructed to prepare properly inscribed copies of this resolution for the Majority and Minority leaders of both houses of the legislature and the Governor of Missouri.
